NEW DELHI<\/span>,\u00a0August 17, 2018<\/span>\u00a0 :<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0HCL Corporation<\/b>, a global technology conglomerate, and\u00a0The Habitats Trust<\/b>, a recently launched foundation working towards protecting habitats and their indigenous species, have tied-up with\u00a0India’s<\/span>\u00a0number one wildlife channel – ‘Animal Planet’ to showcase a new TV series\u00a0‘On The Brink’<\/b>\u00a0to create awareness about Animal Conservation in\u00a0India<\/span>. The show, which will be aired on Animal Planet every\u00a0Monday at 21:00 hrs<\/b>, starting\u00a0August 20<\/span><\/b>, will unravel mysteries of the natural world and help understand why species that once lived in large populations are now literally on the brink.<\/p>\n

‘On The Brink’<\/b>\u00a0will explore species and habitats rarely seen on Indian television and will witness the trials and tribulations of the endangered species as they are confronted with myriad threats to their survival. The species to be covered in\u00a0Season 1<\/b>\u00a0of the series include\u00a0Red Panda<\/span>, Fishing Cats, Slender Loris and Bengal Tiger<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0The show will also share stories of hope, of solutions and of the courageous men and women at the forefront of the battle to save these species from extinction.<\/p>\n

The series has been directed by National Film Awards winner –\u00a0Akanksha Sood Singh<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and adventurer, explorer and wildlife presenter –\u00a0Malaika Vaz<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/b>–<\/b>is the presenter of the show.\u00a0In the 8-part series shot across the country,\u00a0Malaika Vaz<\/span>\u00a0journeys through\u00a0India<\/span>, immersing herself in the most incredible landscapes and habitats and coming eye-to-eye with the rarely spotted animals that live there. Each episode highlights a story which is important to tell right now, or else it might get too late.<\/p>\n
