Chandrasekhar<\/strong>, IAS, Additional Collector, Sangareddy.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Hyderabad, 30 November 2025: <\/strong>The <strong>IIT Hyderabad Half Marathon 2025<\/strong> turned the campus into a pulsating celebration of fitness and community as <strong>2,258 runners<\/strong> came together to support the <strong>Fit India Movement<\/strong>. Organized by the <strong>IITH Runners Club<\/strong>, the second edition saw an extraordinary mix of students, faculty, alumni, families, corporate runners, and fitness enthusiasts from across Telangana and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">This year\u2019s marathon carried the powerful theme \u2014 <strong>\u201cRun to Inspire. Run to Innovate. IIT Hyderabad: Built to Motivate.\u201d <\/strong>The picturesque route, mapped through green expanses and iconic academic blocks of IITH offered runners a memorable and challenging race experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Sunima Dila and Vipin Tyagi emerged champions in the <strong>21.1 km Half Marathon<\/strong> (Women\u2019s and Men\u2019s categories, respectively). Tyagi, a tech professional from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, clocked an impressive <strong>1 hour 33 minutes<\/strong>, becoming the fastest runner of the event. Both winners, working in the technology sector, symbolised the marathon\u2019s message of <strong>bridging innovation, health, and humanity<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The race was flagged off and awards facilitated by Guests. <strong>Ms. Pavani Banoth<\/strong>, Bronze Medalist, World Ability Sports Games, <strong>Ms. Uma Harathi N.<\/strong>, IAS, IITH Alumna &amp; Sub-Collector, Narayankhed, Sangareddy, <strong>Mr. Chandrashekar Badugu<\/strong>, IAS, Additional Collector, Sangareddy, <strong>Satyanarayana Pothumarthi,<\/strong> Managing Director, Swan Turbine Services and <strong>Prof. B.S. Murty, Director of IITH, sharing his enthusiasm<\/strong>, \u201cThe IITH Half Marathon has become a vibrant expression of the Fit India Movement on our campus. Bringing together more than 2,200 participants in a space built on the vision of <em>Inventing and Innovating in Technology for Humanity<\/em>, this event shows how health, innovation, and community can move forward together. The fact that both Half Marathon winners are from the IT sector perfectly captures the message \u2014 technology and health can grow together.\u201d<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Race Results: <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">In the <strong>Half Marathon (21.1 km)<\/strong>, the top honours went to Vipin Tyagi (Men\u2019s Category) and Sunima Dila (Women\u2019s Category), who delivered outstanding performances on the challenging campus route.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">In the <strong>10K Timed Run<\/strong>, Viren Sahoo (Men\u2019s Category) and Liza Daksh (Women\u2019s Category) emerged as champions, showcasing remarkable speed and endurance. In the <strong>5K Timed Run<\/strong>, Ragavan Natrajan (Men\u2019s Category) and Manonmani Regonda (Women\u2019s Category) claimed the top positions with strong finishing sprints.
