As part of its annual outreach initiative, the Income Tax Department has set up the Taxpayers\u2019 Lounge at the India International Trade Fair (IITF), 2025, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 14th<\/sup> to 27th<\/sup> November, 2025.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nShri Ravi Agrawal, Chairman, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), inaugurated the Taxpayers\u2019 Lounge today at Hall No. 4, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, in the august presence of the Members of the CBDT and senior officers of the Income Tax Department. Built around the theme of \u2018\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0924\u094d\u092f\u0947\u0915 \u0930\u093e\u091c\u094d\u092f, \u090f\u0915 \u0930\u093e\u0937\u094d\u091f\u094d\u0930 \u0928\u093f\u0930\u094d\u092e\u093e\u0924\u093e\u2019 (\u201cEvery State, a Nation Builder\u201d), the lounge highlights the vital role of taxpayers in strengthening India\u2019s federal and economic fabric and aims to raise awareness about taxpayer services and educate citizens about their rights and responsibilities in a simple and engaging manner.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nReflecting the spirit of \u201c\u090f\u0915 \u092d\u093e\u0930\u0924, \u0936\u094d\u0930\u0947\u0937\u094d\u0920 \u092d\u093e\u0930\u0924\u201d (\u201cEk Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat\u201d), the pavilion\u2019s central installation showcases the unity and collective progress of the nation. It conveys how India\u2019s cultural and regional diversity contributes to a strong, cohesive and forward-looking country. The lounge offers various services and user-friendly resources to engage and educate the taxpayers, such as:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\ni. Assistance in application for PAN\/e-PAN, Aadhaar PAN Linking and PAN related queries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nii. Assistance in e-Filing and Form 26AS (tax credit), TDS and e-filing related queries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\niii. Queries related to International Taxation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\niv. Queries related to Faceless Assessment and appeal related matters.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nv. Information on various taxpayer service initiatives and e-Nivaran grievance redressal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nChairman, CBDT, along with Members of CBDT and senior officers, marking the formal opening of the Taxpayers\u2019 Lounge at Hall No. 4, Pragati Maidan.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\nWith the aim of building awareness among the next generation, the Lounge features a special Children\u2019s Corner where young visitors can engage in hands-on, interactive activities that introduce them to key concepts of taxation and civic duties in a playful setting. This space offers activities like Board Games, VR games, Digital Comic Books, the ‘Aaycar’ game, etc.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n![\"A](\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image005V4CY.jpg\")
<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThe central installation at the pavilion showcasing the theme \u2018Every State, a Nation Builder\u2019.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\nAdding a touch of entertainment for visitors, the lounge also hosts activities such as Nukkad Natak<\/em>, quiz shows, drawing and painting competitions for children, magic shows and other interactive engagements on the themes of taxation and nation-building.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThe Taxpayers\u2019 Lounge reflects the CBDT\u2019s evolution as a model of e-governance and an enabler for honest taxpayers.
