The Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS), 2025<\/strong> campaign, spearheaded by the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation and the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, is being observed from 17th September to 2nd October, 2025<\/strong>, with the theme \u201cSWACHHOTSAV\u201d<\/em>. The campaign will culminate with the celebration of Swachh Bharat Diwas on 2nd October, 2025<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThe campaign in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) has been formally launched today with the administration of the Swachhta Pledge<\/em> by Shri Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, DA&FW in Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. This was followed by an inspection of rooms, sections and basement of Krishi Bhawan, where the Secretary urged all staff to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nSimilar activities have also been conducted across the Department\u2019s network of institutions, including 04 Attached Offices, 21 Subordinate Offices, 07 Autonomous Bodies, 02 Authorities, and 01 PSU<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nThe SHS, 2025 campaign<\/strong> is being implemented in a \u201cWhole of Society Approach\u201d<\/em>, with an emphasis on people\u2019s participation and the vision of making \u201csanitation everyone\u2019s business.\u201d<\/strong> In addition to Shramdaan<\/em> and advocacy efforts, this year\u2019s campaign has a special focus on:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Transformation of Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs)<\/strong> \u2013 areas often neglected or difficult to clean, posing environmental, health, and hygiene risks.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The DA&FW, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, is actively participating in SHS, 2025, with a series of activities planned across its subordinate, attached, autonomous bodies, PSUs, and field offices<\/strong> throughout the country. These activities are aligned to five thematic pillars:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Transformation of Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Clean Public Spaces<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Clean Green Utsav<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Advocacy for Swachhta<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
To highlight the contribution of Safai Mitras<\/strong>, special initiatives have been planned at DA&FW Headquarters, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, including:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n- A drawing competition<\/strong> for the wards of Safai Mitras, and<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- A preventive health check-up camp<\/strong> for Safai Mitras.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
