Goa, India, August 19, 2019 :<\/strong> GoaMiles\u00a0\u00a0 which\u00a0 was launched last year\u00a0 on 6th<\/sup>\u00a0August 2018 by the Goa Tourism Development\u00a0 Corporation (GTDC) has already achieved\u00a0 huge success and had been appealing to\u00a0 local tourist\u00a0 taxi operators to join\u00a0 the\u00a0 new service\u00a0 which has proven beneficial\u00a0 to the\u00a0 hundreds of taxi operators\u00a0 already in service with GoaMiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

GoaMiles has offices\u00a0 both in North & South Goa which will be used to provide services to taxi drivers.\u00a0 GoaMiles app-based service has paid a considerable amount of Goods and Services Tax to the state government and has assured to pay with continuity. <\/span>Almost 30% of the female travelers are using the APP on a daily basis as\u00a0 it is an extremely secured mode of transport for passengers and 28% local Goan travelers are using the APP on a daily basis as it is extremely easy to use e &\u00a0 an affordable mode of transport for passengers.<\/span><\/p>\n

GoaMiles has a new facility with additional centrally monitored command center capability to keep an eye on every trip. There have been over 65,000 downloads on the iOs App and over 2,33,770 downloads of the Android App, totaling to about 2,98,770 downloads in a span of 12 months. GoaMiles has now managed to enroll more than 1,600 taxis over the last 12 month and more joining in with every passing day.<\/span><\/p>\n

A local taxi driver who has joined\u00a0 GoaMiles\u00a0 earns\u00a0 a minimum\u00a0 of Rs 3,500\u00a0 a day without losing on commission\u00a0 which\u00a0 other\u00a0 app based taxi\u00a0 service providers charge in other states.\u00a0This figure is much more than what a non GoaMiles driver earns in a day and the earning potential is directly proportional to the hard work put in by the driver.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since its launch in August last year, GoaMiles\u00a0\u00a0fleet has steadily risen from\u00a0 55 vehicles\u00a0 to 1,600 cabs. The\u00a0 app-based taxi service which started in\u00a0 August 2018 with 1,500 trips per month touched around\u00a0 14,000 trips in December 2018 and\u00a0 in June\u00a0 2019,\u00a0 has recorded\u00a0 more than\u00a0 20,000 trips per month.\u00a0 It has set a target of increasing its trips\u00a0 for the financial year 2020\u00a0 by\u00a0 2 lakhs. Goa has\u00a0 around 30,000\u00a0 taxi operators and around 2,500 rent-a-cab operators\u00a0 who are legalised and\u00a0 \u00a0conducting\u00a0 authorised business\u2019\u00a0 who can join\u00a0 the app-based aggregator.<\/span><\/p>\n

The road ahead for GoaMiles\u00a0 looks very bright with a lot of innovative and creative features in the pipeline which will benefit locals and tourists. After the introduction of\u00a0Go Later<\/strong>\u00a0option introduced on 5th<\/sup> June 2019 which provides\u00a0 an advance booking choice,\u00a0 has led to a 20% increase in the overall booking count.\u00a0<\/span>GoaMiles\u00a0Home Button<\/strong>\u00a0will\u00a0 be introduced, which will enable the driver to get the booking which is toward the path of their home. The driver can use this button twice daily this will assist him to reach home with return booking without a dry run.<\/span><\/p>\n

GoaMiles will introduce\u00a0Local package & Out Station package<\/strong>\u00a0integrated on the APP, this will be like their current tourist package business. GoaMiles with the support from the Goa State Government will initiate Group Medical Insurance for GoaMiles drivers\u00a0. GoaMiles will initiate Accident Coverage for any driver\/driver- cum-owner on GoaMiles duty.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

GoaMiles will contribute INR 1 and Goa Government INR 1 from each trip and submit the same to\u00a0\u00a0 a government nominated fund account.
